Associate Director of Faculty Operations (Faculty of Medicine)

We have two exciting opportunities to join the senior team of our Faculty Operating Service (FOS). As Associate Director of Faculty Operations, you are the critical link between the University Professional Services and your Faculty, ensuring effective and efficient support to the academic community. Partnering with the Dean of Faculty and reporting to the Director of Faculty Operations you will provide strategic, high level operational support, ensuring delivery of the Faculty and University strategy. Collaborative working, with multiple stakeholders, will be critical to success.

The positions available are within the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Applications welcome for one or both vacancies.

About you

You will have a proven track record of leading teams and taking responsibility for a significant function within an organisation. As an accomplished senior management, ideally in higher education, you’ll combine experience of strategic planning, operational effectiveness and project management with excellent communication and collaborative working. You’ll be an innovator, developing new ideas and finding creative solutions to operational issues.

Following long listing, successful candidates will be invited to an informal engagement session with the senior team. This will be via Microsoft Teams and provide a chance to ask questions of the current Associate Directors of Faculty Operations, facilitated by Mary Hurst, Director of Faculty Operations.

Interviews will be on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 July 2024.
