Welcome from Professor Laura Costanzo

Here at Southampton Business School (SBS) we have a diverse team of colleagues who are genuine and ambitious scholars. In alignment with the School’s vision, they are passionate about what they do to transform business and society for the better.

Together as One SBS Team, we channel our efforts, knowledge, and enthusiasm towards the delivery of management research and education with rigour and relevance, trying to solve real-world problems faced by businesses, organisations, and governments.

We are organised into six departments and adopt a multidisciplinary approach to pursue integration of research, teaching and enterprise. This approach leads us to continuously reinforce our connections with industry and society, both locally and internationally, which ultimately enable us to further deliver impactful research and improve the learning experience for all (staff, students, and other external stakeholders).

We are very proud of what we have accomplished so far, and we believe that by attracting great talent we can further enhance our scholarship and embrace innovation in key areas of competence (Sustainability, Digital and Quantitative Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Society and Future of Work). In so doing, with a focus on excellence, we can continue to grow and make a sustainable impact on students, academia, business, and society.
