Clinical Trials Unit Medical Director

About the Role:

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including doctoral level studies.  Our new School of Medicine was established in 2018, and offers a five year undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.  We also offer a wide range of post graduate short courses and conferences. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research informed educational experience.

 

We are looking for a new Medical Director for our Clinical Trials Unit. This role will provide clinical leadership to our CTU and work closely with our partner organisations to setup new trials and oversee existing trials.

 

The successful candidate will be a qualified physician, holding a current clinical appointment at consultant level of at least 0.2 FTE, they will also have a track record of producing high quality publications and experience of running clinical trials. You’ll also have excellent facilitation, interpersonal skills and have the ability to negotiate and influence with diplomacy to achieve results.
