Arab Open University invites applications for an Associate Professor in Marketing to join its Faculty of Business Studies in Madinah.

This opportunity will suit an established academic with a sustained record of high-quality teaching, peer-reviewed research and academic leadership. You will contribute to student success, strengthen teaching and research in Marketing, and support the development of the Faculty within a multicultural, blended and technology-enabled learning environment.

The role

As Associate Professor, you will:

• Deliver engaging undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in Marketing, using face-to-face, blended and online approaches.
• Develop teaching materials and assessments, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to curriculum review and programme enhancement.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in recognised peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to collaborative research and funding proposals where appropriate.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring, and supervise student projects and advanced research where applicable and formally assigned.
• Contribute to academic quality assurance, accreditation, benchmarking and continuous improvement.
• Support the development of junior academics and early-career researchers, where appropriate.
• Build national and international academic and professional collaborations, including relevant industry partnerships.
• Contribute to university committees, academic initiatives and community engagement, undertaking leadership responsibilities where formally appointed.

About you

You will hold a PhD or equivalent terminal qualification in Marketing, or a closely related discipline with an appropriate specialisation, from a recognised institution. Appointment will be subject to the University’s approved regulations.

You will also demonstrate:

• A sustained record of high-quality university teaching, assessment and student support.
• A sustained portfolio of peer-reviewed research and scholarly contributions appropriate to Associate Professor rank.
• Evidence of academic and research leadership through research projects, scholarly collaborations, research groups or funded initiatives.
• Significant contributions to curriculum development, academic quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience in postgraduate or advanced research supervision and academic mentoring, where appropriate.
• The ability to develop national and international research and professional collaborations.
• Effective use of learning management systems and digital teaching tools.
• Proficiency in the language or languages of instruction required by the programme.
• A collegial approach and a strong commitment to academic integrity, ethical research, professional development and student success.
