Our Process

We know that applying for a job can be quite daunting so we want to be open and transparent about our process:

  • You will have to submit an application through the University’s online recruitment system.
  • The application will include between 3-5 questions based on the job specification or
  • We will ask you to upload your CV and a supporting statement. We suggest you use a supporting statement to show how you meet the job specifications.
  • We use your responses to the questions or within your statement to shortlist.
  • After the closing date we aim to shortlist and send out interview details within 7 days.
  • If you are successfully shortlisted you will be invited to an interview.

We want to get the best out of you and we use competency-based questions to assess your skills. On every interview panel we aim to have an inclusive recruiter. This person helps to ensure best practice is followed as well as being a friendly face for you! We also share some Interview questions ahead of time with candidates to be more inclusive, enable candidates to feel prepared and hopefully alleviate stress and reduce nerves for candidates. We also recognise that by the time you have completed an interview, you would have spent considerable time on the application process. We therefore provide all candidates invited to interview with feedback whether you are successful or not.
