Director of Digital Enterprise

The University of Nottingham Online (UoNO) is a new investment and venture for the University and a key component of our strategy to be ‘a university without borders’. UoNO will generate new revenue streams through engaging a diverse community of learners who are increasingly seeking alternatives to an on-campus learning experience. Leveraging our global reach and reputation, UoNO will seek to attract new learners looking to engage online with our product suites comprising world-leading programmes, continuing professional development and lifelong learning opportunities.

As the Director of Digital Enterprise (DDE), you will lead on the delivery of an ambitious programme of product development and growth.  You will generate and oversee strategies, processes and procedures that will enable UoNO to grow a consistent, scalable and high-quality suite of online learning experiences that operate within a ‘skills-centric and competency-based’ learning framework.

You will actively seek out these opportunities and build powerful partnerships with a commercial mindset for the benefit of UoNO. In addition, you will build and manage the production and delivery teams, developing an ambitious and dynamic culture based upon the University of Nottingham’s values, inclusivity, ambition, openness, fairness and respect.

You will also provide strategic oversight of content and user experience, creating and delivering a vision for a scalable digital campus. Alongside this you will take responsibility for all reporting of UoNO’s business activity and performance to the relevant governance boards.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in this new educational landscape. As a University, we are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all our activities and we invite candidates from under-represented groups to consider and apply for this opportunity.

The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Part-time (min 29 hours per week) requests will be considered.

The application process requires you to submit your CV and a two-page statement outlining how you meet the requirements of the role (as outlined in the role profile) and what your vision would be for UoNO.

Our University has always been a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus. We welcome applications from UK, Europe and from across the globe. For more information on the support we offer our international colleagues, see our Moving to Nottingham pages.

For successful international applicants, we provide financial support for your visa and the immigration health surcharge, plus an interest-free loan to help cover the cost of immigration-related expenses for any dependants accompanying you to the UK. For more information please see the our webpage on Financial support for visas and the immigration health surcharge.
