Associate Director of Campus Operations

The University of Southampton is seeking to appoint Associate Director – Campus Operations provide strategic direction and leadership to the Campus and Facilities Service demonstrating, broad, clear and innovative thinking with the objective of delivering operational excellence and enhanced student experience. In this role you will provide operational management of both staff and systems in order to deliver value for money and cost-effective management across the University.

Within this role you will lead across a broad range of campus and facilities services including Security; Campus Services; Catering; Conference, Events and Hospitality; Building Management and the Estates and Facilities Administration Services. You will ensure that Service Managers take responsibility for a quality, customer focused service whilst improving productivity and cost effectiveness.

You will have proven stakeholder management experience of working with people form diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority along with a proven track record of leadership and management experience within large complex organisations. The successful applicant will have a skill level equivalent achievement of a professional qualification. In addition, you will have extensive experience of leading operational teams, both in house and externally contracted services in a multi-site environment.
